View Project Details Brooker Hollow Road Bridge over the Canadian Pacific Railway This project was fast-tracked because the bridge was completely closed due to poor condition. Spectra replaced the bridge with a single-span, pre-stressed concrete adjacent beam bridge, with concrete pre-cast and cast-in-place retaining walls. Significant railroad coordination was required. Spectra works regularly with railroad clients, including the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad, the Batten Kill Railroad, CSX, Buffalo Southern, Central NY Railroad, and many others.
View Project Details Snooks Pond Dam Spectra was the lead engineer for the rehabilitation of the Snooks Pond Dam in Manlius, including associated environmental services. Spectra has also completed dam-related projects for Rensselaer County and the City of Amsterdam, in addition to structural inspections of New York Power Authority dams thoughout the state.

Spectra’s history includes over 8,000 inspections of more than 2, 800 different state and locally-owned bridges. In addition to the Region 8 and 9 Large Culvert Inspections, Spectra has successfully completed six two-year cycles and one three-year cycle as Prime Consultant for the Biennial and Interim Bridge Inspections for NYSDOT Regions 2, 3, 6, and 7.
View Project Details Cheese Factory Road Bridge Spectra’s Cheese Factory Road Bridge over Nine Mile Creek involved replacing the existing bridge with a 45 foot single-span, pre-stressed concrete bridge. This area experienced extensive, reoccurring flooding. Improvements including raising the roadway and stabilizing the stream channel for approximately 450 feet with stackable stone walls and bendway weirs.
