Spectra provided final engineering design services for the replacement and realignment of Cheese Factory Road Bridge over Nine Mile Creek. This project was 100% funded by the Town of Deerfield.
The existing 21 foot, single-span bridge was replaced with a 45 foot single-span, pre-stressed concrete bridge. The roadway was raised two feet to alleviate flooding and will consist of two lanes with three foot wide shoulders.
The stream channel was stabilized for approximately 450 feet with stackable stone walls and bendway weirs.
Spectra provided environmental permitting services, roadway design, bridge design, stream relocation, bid phase services, public information meeting support, construction management and observation, and construction inspection services.
